SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's basketball team put four players in double figures Wednesday night and extended its winning streak to season-long three games with a wire-to-wire victory over Mansfield, 84-44, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup from Heiges Field House.
Shippensburg (9-10, 5-6 PSAC) posted its first positive assist-to-turnover ratio of the season, setting season highs with 16 assists and 16 steals while committing 14 turnovers – just one off matching the season low. The Raiders exceeded 50-percent shooting for the third time this season, finishing at 52 percent, while posting a 42-33 edge in rebounding.
SU out-scored Mansfield (1-13, 1-10) by a 25-6 margin in the second quarter to pull away, leading by as many as 45 points in the fourth quarter. The Raiders scored a season-high 56 points in the paint and totaled 33 points off turnovers – the most in a single game since Jan. 6, 2016.
Sophomore
Ariel Jones scored 25 points on 9-of-13 shooting and 6-of-8 at the free-throw line. Jones exceeded 20 points for the 16th time in 19 games this season while totaling five rebounds, four steals and three assists.
Freshman
Lauren Mills had a strong night with 12 points, a career-high nine rebounds, four assists and a career-high four steals. Mills shot 6-of-12 from the field and had four of SU's 14 offensive rebounds on the night. She has now reached double figures in three straight games and four of the last five overall.
Freshman
Aunbrielle Green finished just two points shy of her career high, scoring 19 points on the night. Green scored 15 of her 19 points in the first half. She added three rebounds and was 5-of-5 at the free-throw line. It was her 11th game in double figures.
Freshman
Lauren Pettis nearly reached a double-double, scoring 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting to complement nine rebounds. Pettis scored eight of her 13 points in the second half and posted double figures for the seventh time this season.
Sophomore
Kryshell Gordy was all over the stat sheet with six points, seven rebounds, five assists, three steals and three blocks. Gordy posted multiple blocks in a game for the eighth time this season and handed out multiple assists for the 11th time.

Margarita Kilpatrick scored five points and had two assists, while freshman
Dah'Naija Barnes made her first collegiate three-pointer. Sophomore
Emily Houck added three rebounds.
