The Shippensburg University women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 road decision Wednesday at East Stroudsburg in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup with the Warriors from Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Shippensburg (5-3, 4-3 PSAC) out-cornered East Stroudsburg (6-2-1, 6-1-1) by a 5-2 margin – earning four corner kicks in the second half, but the Raiders managed just one shot on goal in the contest. The hosts totaled six shots on goal, and also hit the post and the crossbar with other shot attempts.
Sophomore goalkeeper
Delaney Shifflett made five saves – all in the first half.
The match's lone tally came in the 50th minute and was scored by senior Alex Pickett – the daughter of SU Hall of Fame football linebacker
Ken Pickett.
