Cole Kropnick scored his Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC)-leading eighth goal of the season Wednesday night as the Shippensburg University men's soccer team defeated East Stroudsburg, the reigning conference champions, 1-0 in a league match from Eiler-Martin Stadium.
Shippensburg (6-2, 2-1 PSAC) posted its second consecutive 1-0 road victory in league play behind Kropnick's tally, which came in the 68th minute on a low shot from the top of the box that was assisted by senior
Patrick Luebben. The tally marked Kropnick's 20th career goal.

Garret Watson was staunch in goal for the Raiders, making eight saves to record his second straight shutout. Wednesday's clean slate marked Watson's third shutout of the season and the ninth of his career.
East Stroudsburg (5-3, 2-2) posted a 19-8 advantage in shots and an 8-4 edge in shots on goal. Both teams managed three corner kicks and were issued two yellow cards. The Warriors had one final salvo on a free kick with 70 seconds remaining, sending a shot that soared off the top right of the crossbar.
Shippensburg improved to 4-0 this season on the road, equaling the team's win total away from home over the last two seasons combined (4-13-0 on the road in 2016-17).
