The Shippensburg University women's tennis team completed its time in Florida on Wednesday night with a match against Dallas Baptist. The Raiders dropped a 9-0 decision to the Patriots, who also swept Millersville and Bloomsburg earlier in the week.
Kaylin Gallagher and
Daisy Rundio nearly came away with a victory at No. 2 doubles, dropping a hard-fought 8-6 decision.
Catherine Miller won a pair of games at No. 1 singles, while
Gabbie Binder, Gallagher and Rundio each won a game in their singles matches.
"The ladies fought for some games and almost had a win at No. 2 doubles," head coach
Lindsey Tennis said. "They are not letting up or being discouraged facing the best of the best. It gives us a positive outlook on the portions of the season ahead."
Shippensburg will complete its week of matches at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family.
