SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's basketball team opened Tuesday night's game on an 11-0 run and had six players finish in double figures, as the Raiders led wire-to-wire in a 91-69 victory over Chestnut Hill in a non-conference matchup from Heiges Field House.

Shippensburg (6-0), which was ranked No. 20 in the newest edition of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Top 25 poll released earlier in the day, made eight three-pointers in the first 15 minutes Tuesday after sinking just seven for the entirety of its Sunday afternoon road game at Cal. The Raiders shot 46 percent (12-of-26) from three-point range Tuesday night and 49 percent overall.

The Raiders got 33 points from their bench, including career highs for both junior Daylon Carter and redshirt-sophomore Derek Ford. Carter tied for SU's game high with 15 points, making 2-of-2 from three-point range and 5-of-6 from the free-throw line. He also grabbed five rebounds and had an assist and steal.

Ford, in just nine minutes, scored 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting – including a pair of three-pointers. He entered Tuesday's game with just nine career points in nine career games.

Junior John Castello equaled Carter with 15 points, narrowly missing a double-double with a game-high nine rebounds. Castello added two assists and two steals. Redshirt-senior Manny Span had 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting and added four rebounds and two assists. Senior Antonio Kellem contributed 13 points.

Sophomore Jake Biss finished with 10 points and five assists, making his first three three-point attempts to start the night. Junior Lamar Talley hit two three-pointers and grabbed four rebounds.

The Raiders committed just two first-half turnovers, one of which came on an offensive foul. Shippensburg has posted a positive assist-to-turnover ratio in all six games this season.

Chestnut Hill (2-3) got 15 points from Liban Awl, but its reserves out-scored the starting five 35-34. Juston Bailey hit three three-pointers off the bench while Amir Warrick and Roman Letterlough combined for 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Tuesday's victory extended Shippensburg's home winning streak to 24 consecutive matches. SU's last loss inside Heiges Field House came on Feb. 1, 2017 against Kutztown. Overall, the Raiders are 35-1 at home since the start of the 2016-17 season.
