The No. 5 Shippensburg University field hockey team earned its third consecutive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) victory on Saturday with a 2-0 shutout at No. 9 Bloomsburg from Steph Pettit Stadium.

Shippensburg (10-3, 4-2 PSAC) got goals from freshmen
Jenna Sluymer and
Adrienne McGarrigle while redshirt-senior goalkeeper
Ally Mooney registered her second shutout of the season and the 19th of her career. Mooney made four saves in the contest.

Sluymer opened the scoring in the 22nd minute. The rebound from her initial shot bounced off a Bloomsburg defender, giving the freshman the opportunity to notch her sixth goal of the season.

Fifteen minutes into the second half, Sluymer sent a pass into the circle for McGarrigle, who put the ball through the goalkeeper's legs to put the Raiders up 2-0.

Bloomsburg (7-4, 1-3) posted an 18-11 advantage in shots and a 9-8 advantage in penalty corners. Shots-on-goal, however, were 8-4 in SU's favor.
