MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Shippensburg University football team snapped a four-game losing streak on Saturday with its first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division victory of the season, achieving a 37-0 shutout at Millersville on a cool and breezy afternoon at the Biemesderfer.
Shippensburg (3-4, 1-2 PSAC East) got in the win column despite committing five turnovers Saturday, as the Red Raider defense limited Millersville (2-5, 2-2) to an average of just 2.4 yards per play. SU had 10 total tackles-for-loss (TFLs), including a season-high seven sacks, and limited the Marauders to a 1-of-16 conversion rate on third downs.
The Red Raiders ran for a season-high 258 yards and scored three of their five touchdowns on the ground. Redshirt-senior
Marcus Lominy had 19 carries for 91 yards, while senior
Chase Yocum had just five carries but ran for 71 yards and a score.
Yocum has now totaled 1,228 career rushing yards, ranking eighth all-time in PSAC history among quarterbacks. He is now 21 rushing yards shy of tying
Ryan Zapoticky for SU's school record for career quarterback rushing yards.

Richard Nase led SU on the day with nine tackles – including 2.5 TFLs. Nase had 1.5 sacks – bringing his career totals through 39 games to 25.5 sacks and 47.5 TFLs. He is five sacks and 7.5 TFLs shy of Jake Metz's school records in each category.

Josh Lister had a pair of sacks – he now has five sacks through seven games this season after having totaled 1.5 career sacks through his first 34 games as a nose tackle.

Brycen Mussina finished 16-of-22 for 235 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. After interceptions on the first two drives, Mussina delivered a 10-yard touchdown pass to redshirt-junior
Shea O'Donnell that opened the scoring with 6:24 left in the first quarter.
The score remained 7-0 midway through the second quarter, when the Red Raiders captured the momentum by scoring 16 points in the final 7:33 to take a 23-0 lead into the intermission. Redshirt-junior

SU's second-half touchdowns came via a 24-yard passing play between Mussina and redshirt-freshman
Sean Judge late in the third quarter and a 10-yard touchdown run by redshirt-sophomore
Raleigh Sirb with 4:27 remaining. The final touchdown was setup by an interception from redshirt-junior

Josh Gontarek had three catches for 76 yards – including a 40-yard reception. Redshirt-sophomore
Charles Headen III totaled three catches for 43 yards, while redshirt-sophomore
Winston Eubanks had three catches for 22 yards. Eight different SU players had a catch on the day.
Millersville drove inside the SU 30-yard line twice in the second half but was stopped on fourth down on each drive. The Marauders passed for 91 yards on the day, with Joey Farley totaling five catches for 53 yards. Farley also missed a 49-yard field goal. MU's leading rusher was quarterback Tony Staffieri, who netted 47 yards on the ground.
