SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Senior
Dustin Sleva scored a career-high 34 points on Wednesday night to lead three Raiders in double figures as the Shippensburg University men's basketball team improved to 8-0 at home this season with a 92-75 victory over Lock Haven in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup from Heiges Field House.
Shippensburg (10-3, 6-2 PSAC) opened Wednesday's game on a 15-0 run over the first 4:29 en route to recording its fifth wire-to-wire victory in the last seven contests. The Raiders led by as many as 24 points in the first half, shooting 9-of-13 from three-point range to start the game.
Sleva's 34 points came on 13-of-18 shooting, including 4-of-7 from three-point range and 4-of-5 from the free-throw line. He also grabbed 14 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season and 46th of his career. Sleva also had three assists and did not commit a turnover in 36 minutes of action.
Senior
Justin McCarthur scored 19 points, making three three-pointers, to go along with four assists and three rebounds. McCarthur surpassed the 1,300-point mark for his career – he moved past Wayne Morris (1995-99) and now sits 12th all-time in SU history with 1,308 points.
Sophomore
John Castello tallied 18 points on an efficient 7-of-11 shooting and tied his career high by making 4-of-6 from three-point range. Castello added seven rebounds, an assist and a block. He recorded three offensive rebounds, giving him 12 straight games with multiple offensive boards.
Senior
Clay Conner scored eight points and handed out a game-high seven assists without committing a turnover. Conner has posted five or more assists in seven games this season.
Junior
Antonio Kellem had five points, three rebounds and two assists. Off the bench, junior

Jake Biss each scored four points.
Lock Haven (5-9, 3-7) opened the second half by shooting 11-of-15 from the field, but the Bald Eagles did not get their deficit below 10 points for the remainder of the contest. Splendid sophomore Amir Hinton scored 26 points on 9-of-15 shooting despite being held scoreless for the first 13 minutes of the game. Ra'eese Hunt added 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting for the visitors.
The Raiders have scored 92 or more points in each of their last three home games. SU is now 35-3 in home games at Heiges Field House since the start of the 2015-16 season under head coach

Shippensburg hosts Cheyney at 3 p.m. Saturday from Heiges Field House.
Notes: SU has made at least eight three-pointers in every game this season and at least 10 three-pointers in eight games…SU has posted a positive assist-to-turnover ratio in 12-of-13 games...SU was 9-of-11 (81.8 percent) from the free-throw line and entered Wednesday's game as the top free-throw shooting team in the PSAC.
