The Shippensburg University men's soccer team dropped a non-conference matchup on Tuesday afternoon at Chowan, 2-0, from Soccer Complex in Murfreesboro, North Carolina.
 
Shippensburg (1-2-2) and Chowan (2-1-1) were scoreless through the first 45 minutes with both teams registering one shot on goal.
 
The Hawks got a shot past junior Matt Harder in the 67th minute to break the scoreless tie. Chowan added its second goal in the 87th minute to seal the win.
 
SU registered three shots on goal in the loss, with freshman Jonathan Benner registering two and junior Cole Kropnick registering one.
 
Harder made six saves in the loss for SU.
 
Shippensburg will return to action at 6:30 p.m. Monday when it hosts Holy Family.
