The Shippensburg University women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision at Shepherd on Wednesday in a non-conference matchup in West Virginia.
Shippensburg (4-8) won at least two points in all three doubles matches and at least three points in all six singles matches. The Raiders were victorious at No. 3 doubles, as freshmen
Madeline Carson and
Daisy Rundio combined for an 8-5 victory.
Carson and Rundio, since debuting as a duo on March 25, have now gone 4-2 playing together at No. 3 doubles.

Gabbie Binder, senior
Emilie Luttman and sophomore
Kaylin Gallagher each won seven games in their respective singles matches.
Binder was the next-to-last match to be completed, falling 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 singles. Gallagher's match was the last one of the night, as she went 7-5 in the opening set before falling 6-2. Luttman lost 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3 singles.
Shippensburg will host Millersville on Senior Day at 2 p.m. Saturday for the regular-season finale from the Robb Sports Complex Tennis Courts. SU will honor its lone senior, Luttman, before the match.
A win over the Marauders on Saturday would clinch a PSAC Tournament berth for the Raiders.
