The Shippensburg University women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Goldey-Beacom in a road dual meet with the Lightning on Thursday afternoon from the Delcastle Tennis Center.

Shippensburg (1-5) won 11 games in singles and three games in doubles on Thursday against Goldey-Beacom (10-0), an improvement upon last year's dual meet in which the Raiders claimed just two singles games and one doubles game.

At No. 1 doubles, freshman Catherine Miller and sophomore Gabbie Binder dropped an 8-2 decision. Miller also won three games at No. 1 singles, while Binder claimed two games in the second set at No. 2 singles.

Among singles highlights, freshman Daisy Rundio won four games in the first set of her No. 5 singles match.

Shippensburg returns to action on Saturday, March 25 versus Fairmont State.
