The Shippensburg University men's soccer team dropped a pivotal Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup at No. 22 Millersville on Sunday, falling 2-0 to the Marauders on a cloudy and mild afternoon at Pucillo Field.
Shippensburg (6-6-2, 4-4 PSAC) was not able to generate much offense in the contest, mustering a shot off a corner kick in the 22nd minute but otherwise being held at bay.

Garret Watson made eight saves in the contest, including seven in the first half.
Millersville (10-3-1, 6-2 PSAC) scored twice in the first 15 minutes of play to seize the momentum. The Marauders were credited with a 10-1 advantage in shots on goal and a 3-1 margin in corner kicks.
The result puts Millersville into third place in the conference standings with 18 points. SU is in a three-way tie for fifth place in the conference standings with Seton Hill and Mercyhurst at 12 points – the Lakers are still to play Sunday evening against Gannon. The Raiders and Lakers have three remaining league games after today, while the Griffins have two.
Shippensburg travels to West Chester on Wednesday for a 2:30 p.m. matchup with the Golden Rams.
