LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's basketball team opened Saturday's game with an 11-0 run and never looked back, leading by as many 25 points en route to its third consecutive wire-to-wire victory – a 72-58 road victory over Lock Haven in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup from Thomas Fieldhouse.
 
Shippensburg (12-5, 7-4 PSAC) led 22-11 after the first quarter and established a 20-point lead through three quarters over host Lock Haven (6-9, 3-8). During its current seven-game winning streak, the Raiders have outscored the opposition by an average of 21.5 points per game and have not allowed an opponent to score more than 60 points (50.6 ppg average).
 
Graduate Stephanie Knauer led all scorers Saturday with 20 points, marking her fifth 20-point performance of the season. Knauer has posted double figures in six straight games and 10 of the last 11 overall. She was 10-of-15 from the field on Saturday with five rebounds and three assists.
 
Senior Morgan Griffith achieved her fifth double-double of the year by totaling 18 points on 6-of-8 shooting and a season-high 14 rebounds – the most by a Raider in a game this season. Griffith has now reached double figures in nine straight games and also made both of her three-point attempts Saturday.
 
Senior Colleen Young continued her high-scoring efforts with 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Young was all over Saturday's box score with five rebounds, three steals and two assists.
 
Off the bench, senior Haley Scullion matched a season high with 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting. Senior Lauren Gold had six points and four assists, while senior Logan Snyder had four points and four rebounds.
 
The Raiders shot 50 percent or better in three of the game's four quarters (48.4 percent overall) while limiting Lock Haven to 36-percent shooting. The Bald Eagles had four players post 11 points or better – two of whom (Kayla Jefferson and Ali Hillson) did so coming off the bench. Lysa Mealing had nine points and 14 rebounds.

Shippensburg returns to action at 6 p.m. Wednesday when it hosts East Stroudsburg from Heiges Field House.
