The Shippensburg University women's soccer team fell Saturday to No. 9 East Stroudsburg, 2-1, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) clash.
East Stroudsburg (2-0, 2-0 PSAC) got off to a quick start after Laurel Neira headed home a corner in the sixth minute from Hannah Gombos past Shippensburg junior goalkeeper

Shippensburg (1-1, 1-1 PSAC) pressured East Stroudsburg in the 29th minute after senior
Sharon Juarez hit the crossbar. Just nine minutes later, sophomore
Tori Mills tied the game with her second goal of the season off an assist from sophomore
Anna Snee.
East Stroudsburg quickly answered back with a goal in the 40th minute by Amy Strauser off an assist from Shea Neal. Neither team would score in the second half.
ESU totaled 12 shots, seven of which were on goal. Shippensburg recorded eight shots, four of which tested the keeper. Roy recorded five saves on the day.
Shippensburg will return to action at 4 p.m. Tuesday versus Chestnut Hill from David See Field.
