Katelyn Grazan scored a golden goal 4:32 into overtime on Wednesday to propel the No. 2 Shippensburg University field hockey team to a 1-0 road victory at IUP in a non-conference matchup from warm and muggy Miller Stadium.

Shippensburg (5-0) posted its fourth shutout through five contests this season and achieved victory when Grazan sent a shot from the left side of the box past the keeper off an assist from junior
Brooke Sheibley. Â

IUP (1-2) mustered two shots on goal in the contest, both of which were stopped by SU sophomore goalkeeper
Ally Mooney.

Other Raider scoring opportunities included a shot with six minutes to go by junior
Morgan Gantz that hit the post, and an early first-half shot credited to senior
Taylor Fisher on a penalty corner that was kept out of the cage by a defensive save.

Overall, SU posted a 5-2 advantage in shots on goal and a 6-5 margin in penalty corners.
