SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The No. 2 Shippensburg University field hockey team fell in overtime on Saturday to No. 1 East Stroudsburg, 1-0, on a muggy afternoon at Robb Sports Complex.
Shippensburg (5-1) was bested by East Stroudsburg (5-2) on an unassisted Emily Howell goal just 2:46 into overtime. The Raiders pressured the Warriors late in regulation with two penalty corners and a shot from junior
Kylie Huffman that was denied by East Stroudsburg goalkeeper Danielle Ard.

Ally Mooney recorded six saves in the defeat.
The teams combined for just eight shots on goal in the contest in the defensive battle.
Shippensburg will return to action Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Kutztown.
