The Shippensburg University women's soccer team scored three times in the second half Tuesday to pull away from host Pitt-Johnstown, achieving a 4-0 victory over the Lady Cats in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup in Johnstown.
Shippensburg (4-2, 3-2 PSAC) led 1-0 at halftime after senior

Pitt-Johnstown (0-5, 0-5) nearly took the lead 15 minutes in when its first shot of the match hit the crossbar, but the Lady Cats would ultimately be kept out of the net. Junior goalkeeper
Leah Roy made two saves in 75 minutes of action and split the shutout with fellow junior
Kayla Kennedy.
SU took a 2-0 lead at 53:00 when sophomore
Emily Brown scored her first collegiate goal off an assist from senior
Sharon Juarez. The Raiders out-shot UPJ 12-1 in the second half and 22-8 for the match. UPJ keepers combined for seven saves.
Freshman
Jordan Cassatt caged back-to-back goals just 1:06 apart to clinch the win. At 70:46, Cassatt finished a rebound off an assist from sophomore
Mariah Varner. At 71:50, Cassatt chipped in a goal off a corner kick from senior
Stephanie Allshouse.
Shippensburg returns to action at 4 p.m. Thursday with a non-conference match at Goldey-Beacom.
