SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University tennis team began the non-championship portion of the 2016-17 season on Saturday with a home match against Philadelphia, dropping a 9-0 match to the Rams on a sweltering afternoon at the Robb Sports Complex Tennis Courts.
Shippensburg (0-1) won three games at No. 2 doubles, as
Emilie Luttman and
Kaylin Gallagher teamed up at that pairing. Individually, Gallagher won four games at No. 4 singles. Luttman won four games at No. 3 singles before retiring, while sophomore
Hannah Coath claimed three games in her match at No. 5 singles.
SU will host Holy Family at
NOON Saturday from Robb Sports Complex.
