SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Junior Bailey Bzdak netted what proved to be the game-winning goal in the 37th minute on Saturday as the Shippensburg University women's soccer team defeated Slippery Rock, 1-0, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup at a warm and muggy David See Field.
 
Bzdak's goal came off an assist from sophomore Tori Mills and proved to be the only tally of the contest.
 
Junior goalkeeper Leah Roy registered five saves on the day to record her second shutout of the season. Slippery Rock (1-3, 1-1) used two goaltenders in the contest who combined for two saves.
 
Shippensburg will return to action at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with a PSAC matchup at Pitt-Johnstown.
