SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's soccer team fell to Slippery Rock on a hot Saturday afternoon, 2-0, at David See Field in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup.
Slippery Rock (1-2, 1-0 PSAC) got off to a quick start after a third minute goal from Justin Minda off an assist from Nick Sodini to take a 1-0 lead over Shippensburg (3-1, 0-1).
The Rock netted their second goal of the game in the 11th minute when Nick Sodini headed home a rebound to give Slippery Rock a 2-0 advantage.
Freshman
Isiah Dorsey led the Raiders in shots with three. Raiders took nine corners on the day compared to Slippery Rock's one.
Redshirt-freshman goalkeeper
Garret Watson recorded five saves on the day.
Shippensburg returns to action at 4 p.m. Tuesday with a PSAC matchup at Pitt-Johnstown.
