The Shippensburg University lacrosse team traveled to No. 7 West Chester on Tuesday and dropped a 16-4 decision to the Golden Rams in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup on a sunny afternoon at Vonnie Gros Field.

Shippensburg (3-10, 0-8 PSAC) opened the scoring 2:31 into the match on a goal by sophomore
Allison Fugate, but the Raiders trailed 12-3 at halftime.

Ali Harclerode scored twice for Shippensburg, while junior
Max Barkley notched SU's final tally while totaling four draw controls and two groundballs.

Ally Frymoyer made nine saves and also led the team with three groundballs. Freshman
Valerie Hertz had two groundballs and two draw controls, while junior
Annemarie Cericola and freshman
Madi Newman also collected multiple groundballs.

West Chester (13-1, 8-1 PSAC) dictated much of the play, controlling the majority of the possession and recording a 34-9 advantage in shots. The Golden Rams also held a 14-9 margin in draw controls.

Shippensburg will host Edinboro at 1 p.m. Saturday for the team's final regular season home game. Before Saturday's game, SU will honor Frymoyer and
Tanisha Joseph (Collingdale, Pa./Academy Park) as the team's seniors.
