The Shippensburg University volleyball team avenged an Oct. 22 loss to Lock Haven by heading into Thomas Fieldhouse on Friday night and dispatching the Bald Eagles in four sets, winning the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central Division matchup by scores of 25-20, 25-18, 21-25 and 25-20.
Â
Shippensburg (26-5, 13-4 PSAC) will play Saturday at Pitt-Johnstown (21-8, 14-3) to decide the PSAC Central Division champion. A victory on Saturday would vault the Raiders to the PSAC's No. 3 seed for the PSAC Tournament.
Â
On Friday night, senior
Annie Goerl became just the sixth Shippensburg University volleyball player in history to join the prestigious 1,000 kills / 1,000 digs club, recording her eighth double-double of the year with 18 kills and 17 digs while hitting .283.
Â
