SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's soccer team shut out Mercyhurst on Saturday, 2-0, in a crucial Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup on a damp and dreary afternoon at David See Field.
Shippensburg (8-5, 6-5 PSAC) and Mercyhurst (6-5-1, 5-5-1) exchanged first-half chances but neither team could break through in the first 45 minutes, and the game was tied at 0-0 heading into the break.
