SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University field hockey team scored early and often Saturday in its Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) matchup with Mansfield, posting a 7-1 victory over the Mountaineers on a cold, rainy and windy day at Robb Sports Complex.

Shippensburg (8-2, 3-1 PSAC) got two goals from both junior
Cassie Rawa and sophomore
Madison Scarr – with Rawa scoring the first two goals of the day within the first seven minutes.

Senior
Ari Saytar had a goal and an assist, while freshman
Brooke Zeiders and junior
Katelyn Grazan also had tallies for the Raiders.

Junior
Kendall Beck assisted Rawa's game-opening goal, Scarr assisted on Grazan's goal, and sophomore
Brooke Sheibley assisted on Scarr's second score.

SU out-shot Mansfield (0-10, 0-8) by a 38-5 margin and had 10 penalty corners. Senior
Taylor Webster was not forced to make a save in more than 50 minutes of play; redshirt-freshman
Catherine Matuszko notched two saves over the final 18 minutes.

Mansfield's lone tally came on a penalty stroke with 1:32 to play.

Shippensburg will host No. 1 Millersville at 4 p.m. Wednesday from Robb Sports Complex.
