The Shippensburg University women's soccer team played to a 0-0 tie Saturday afternoon at No. 7 Slippery Rock, concluding a stretch of two games in three days against the league's Top-2 ranked teams by earning a valuable point in the standings.
Shippensburg (0-1-1, 0-1-1 PSAC), whose season was ended in the NCAA Second Round last season by Slippery Rock (0-1-1, 0-1-1), held slight statistical advantages against a squad that was ranked atop the conference's preseason coaches' poll.
SU out-shot The Rock 18-17 and held a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks. The Raiders posted a 5-0 advantage in shots during the overtime period.

Kayla Kennedy was strong in her collegiate debut, making 10 saves. Her counterpart, Annabelle Hegeman, recorded 11 saves.
