SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University tennis team picked up its first victory of the season Friday at Hagerstown before capping off its weekend Saturday with home dual loss to Holy Family.
 
Sunday's match with Georgian Court has been postponed with the hope of making it up during the spring season.
 
Senior Julia Saintz won 6-0, 6-0 in No. 1 singles Friday against Hagerstown while sophomore Emilie Luttman won at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Freshmen Sarah Kramer and Josie Petracci won their first collegiate matches, with Kramer winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5 singles and Petracci claiming a 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 6 singles.
 
On Saturday, Luttman won three points at No. 4 singles, while Saintz and junior Emily Cox won two points at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, respectively.
 
Shippensburg competes next weekend at the Bloomsburg Fall Classic.
