The Shippensburg University women's soccer team suffered a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to Edinboro University on Saturday afternoon at Sox Harrison Stadium.
Shippensburg (1-3-1, 1-3-1 PSAC) surrendered the lone goal of the game in the 11
th minute. Liz Debo capitalized off a blocked shot by grabbing the resulting carom and firing a shot into the back of the net.

The Raiders had opportunities to even the score throughout the course of the game, registering 12 shots – three of which were on goal.

Edinboro (1-4-1, 1-4-1 PSAC) out-shot Shippensburg, 15-12, and held a 3-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Saturday's match renewed a recent rivalry between the Raiders and the Fighting Scots. The two teams faced off three times in 2013 with the Raiders winning twice. SU defeated Edinboro in its first ever NCAA playoff game (Nov. 15, 2013) by a 1-0 score.
Shippensburg travels to IUP at 4 p.m. Wednesday to take on the Crimson Hawks.
