Ally Mooney propelled the Shippensburg University field hockey team to a 1-0 road victory Wednesday in PSAC play at East Stroudsburg.

Shippensburg (13-3, 10-3 PSAC) has guaranteed itself a spot among the Top 3 teams in the PSAC Tournament which begins next week. The Top 6 teams in the league qualify for the playoffs, while the Top 2 seeds earn byes into the semifinals.

The Raiders are currently the No. 3 seed and at present would host the No. 6 seed in a PSAC quarterfinal match on Tuesday at Robb Sports Complex.

East Stroudsburg (10-7, 8-5), currently the No. 4 seed in the PSAC, out-shot Shippensburg 16-7 and posted a 16-6 edge in penalty corners but the Warriors could not crack a staunch Raider defense.

It was the first time this season that ESU has been shutout, and SU remains the only team to have blanked the Warriors over the last two seasons, having done so twice in three matchups.

SU's goal came at 18:31. Grazan scored her fourth goal of the season off a pass from senior
Lucy Kauffman, who registered her team-leading eighth assist.

Mooney's nine saves are her second-highest total of the season; she had 11 in SU's road upset at No. 1 Millersville back in October. It was Mooney's fourth solo shutout of the year and SU's eighth in 16 games this season.

Shippensburg concludes its regular season at 1 p.m. Saturday when it hosts Seton Hill at Robb Sports Complex. Before the game, SU will honors its four seniors:
