The Shippensburg University volleyball team, Eastern Division No. 4 seed, will travel Saturday to Greensburg for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Semifinal matchup with the hosts, Western Division No. 2 seed Seton Hill, inside Salvitti Gymnasium. The match begins at 6:30 p.m.

Admission has been set by the PSAC at $7 for adults and $2 for students. Any students of PSAC-member institutions, however, receive free admission with their student identification card.

Shippensburg (19-16) is participating in its eighth consecutive PSAC Tournament and ninth in 11 seasons under the direction of head coach Leanne Piscotty, the all-time coaching wins leader in school history (243-166).

It is the third straight semifinals appearance for the Raiders, who are looking to reach the PSAC Championship match for just the second time in 23 years (SU lost at Lock Haven in 2004, Piscotty's inaugural season). SU is 5-14 in PSAC Tournament matches since 1991.

Seton Hill (30-4) defeated the Raiders in four sets on Sept. 19 in a PSAC crossover match at Heiges Field House. The Griffins trailed their PSAC Quarterfinal match with Gannon, 2-0, rallied to win in five sets and subsequently earned the right to host the remainder of the PSAC Tournament as the highest-remaining seed.

The Griffins entered the week with more blocks (302) than any other team in Division II, averaging 2.5 blocks per set. The Raiders ranked No. 4 in total blocks (283) and average 2.1 blocks per set.

Both teams have two middle blockers with more than 100 blocks this season – Seton Hill boasts Shelby Kyllo (138) and Corinne Gahagen (125), Shippensburg boasts Taylor Gottshall (158), the No. 2 blocker in Division II, and Faith Athey (107).

The Westmoreland Sports Network (WSN) will provide a free, online broadcast of Shippensburg's semifinal against Seton Hill. The link to access the HD broadcast is here and also posted above. Live stats will also be available and are linked above.

The Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) will provide exclusive coverage of the 2014 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Volleyball Championship match at noon on Sunday.
