The Shippensburg University women's soccer team surrendered a goal in the second minute but battled back and ultimately prevailed Saturday over Gannon, 2-1, in a PSAC matchup at David See Field.
The Raiders (3-3-3, 3-3-3 PSAC) netted the equalizer in the 39th minute after sophomore
Shannon Moran delivered an accurate pass across the box to freshman
Bailey Bzdak who promptly buried her first collegiate goal.
In the 59th minute, freshman
Jenny Litz scored her team-high third goal of the season, which proved to be the game-winner, off of Moran's second assist of the afternoon.
Moran concluded an excellent weekend after registering the first points of her career Friday in a 2-0 victory over Mercyhurst, then adding the two assists Saturday. She is now second on the team with four points on the season.
The Golden Knights (5-5, 5-4 PSAC) held a 15-9 advantage in shots and a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.

Kayla Kennedy made seven saves on the afternoon.
SU returns to action Wednesday when it travels to Millersville to take on the Marauders at 7:30 p.m. from Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.
