SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's soccer team opened up conference play on the road with a 3-0 loss to Edinboro on Saturday afternoon.

The Raiders (1-1, 0-1 PSAC) managed just five shots, three of which were on target. The Fighting Scots (1-1, 1-1) totaled 13 shots and scored the first of their three first-half goals in the third minute of play.

Senior Rachel Hess lead SU's offense with two shots, both of which were on goal. Junior Kate Zech, junior Alyssa House and sophomore Haley Jones each took one shot.

Senior goalkeeper Shelbie Rackley recorded five saves.

The Raiders return to action on Tuesday with a 4 p.m. match at Mansfield.
