SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – A game-tying goal in the 64th minute by junior Brooke Clippinger on Saturday afternoon helped No. 22 Shippensburg claim its first undefeated regular-season home record in school history after a 1-1 tie with No. 14 Slippery Rock at David See Field.
The Raiders (11-5-1, 10-5-1 PSAC) entered halftime leading 6-2 in the shot column, but trailing 1-0 on the scoreboard. Clippinger knotted the score up at 1-1 when she tallied her fourth goal of the season. The play was started by Kylee Bricker who sent in a hard cross from the right side that found the head of Clippinger who then finished to the right side of the net.
Following the goal by Clippinger, Slippery Rock (13-2-2, 12-2-2) had chances to claim the victory in regulation as The Rock finished out the second half out-shooting SU, 4-2. The Raiders limited Slippery Rock's chances in the overtime periods as Shippensburg held a 3-1 advantage in shots.
Senior goalkeeper Shelbie Rackley finished the day with two saves and allowed just one goal as she finishes the regular season with a record of 11-5-1. With the goal today, Clippinger finishes the regular season leading the team in goals (4) and points (10).

In the 20-year history of the women's soccer program at Shippensburg, the 2013 team's 8-0-1 record at home is the first undefeated regular season home record and the most regular season wins at home. The Raiders' previous best home records were 7-2 (2010), 7-2-1 (2008), and 4-2-1 (2002).
Before the game, SU honored its senior class of Bricker, Rackley, Meghan Mahon, Rachel Hess, Ashley Vellucci and Kate Zech.
