WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Sophomore
Hannah Wolfe won her third consecutive match at No. 6 singles for the Raiders on a sunny Tuesday afternoon but it was not enough as the Shippensburg University women's tennis team dropped a PSAC Eastern Division match to West Chester, 8-1, from South Campus Courts.
Wolfe won the first set, 6-4, before dropping the second set, 4-6. She won the tiebreaker, 10-6, to improve her season record to 4-3 in singles play.
Freshman
Julia Saintz was bumped up to No. 1 singles, where she took three games in the second set. Fellow freshman
Kat Werner won four games in the first set at No. 2 singles.
Shippensburg will host East Stroudsburg at 4 p.m. Friday from the Robb Sports Complex tennis courts.
