LAKEWOOD, N.J. – Senior Lauren Hauck and junior Lindsey Kennedy each recorded hat tricks on Tuesday for the Shippensburg University women's lacrosse team but host Georgian Court used a six-goal run in the second half to skirt past the visiting Raiders, 16-14.

Shippensburg (7-9) finished the game with a sizable advantage in draw controls and was credited with just nine turnovers, but the Raiders could not stop a potent offensive attack from the Lions. SU never held a lead in the first half but tied the score at 10-10 with 26:29 to play in regulation. GCU responded with its decisive run, keeping the Raiders off the scoreboard until the final six minutes of play.

Hauck tallied three goals and two assists to bring her season totals to 26 and 23, respectively. After a three-goal, three-assist, four-draw control effort on Tuesday, Kennedy will enter the season's final game with 34 goals and 26 assists – the latter of which is the second greatest single-season total in school history.

Senior Jessica Schubach and freshman Sheila Johnson each scored twice in the contest. Schubach has scored 11 goals in just eight games this season, while Johnson now has six tallies in the last two games and 16 for the season.

Sophomore Bennett Widlake had a goal, an assist, two draw controls and two caused turnovers. Freshman Courtney Kennedy, sophomore Amanda Krok and freshman Garrie Grenfell also added tallies for the Raiders.

Sophomore Liz French put forth another stellar effort with a team-high five draw controls and three groundballs in addition to two caused turnovers. Senior Ali Cross made six saves.

Shippensburg will conclude the 2012 regular season at 4 p.m. Thursday from Robb Sports Complex with a PSAC matchup against Millersville. The Marauders are guided by former SU head coach Mia Hall. SU has won the last five meetings in the series over the Black and Gold.
