MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's tennis team earned one singles victory on a chilly Saturday from the McComsey Tennis Courts at Millersville University but came up short, falling 8-1 to the Marauders.
Sophomore
Hannah Wolfe won her second singles match of the weekend and improved her season record to 3-4 with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 6 singles over Millersville's Jess Taleff.
Freshman
Julia Saintz won six games at No. 2 singles but fell to Millersville's Sam Prager, 6-2, 6-4. Junior
Laura Babetski fell at No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-1.
Shippensburg's next match is another road contest. The Raiders will play West Chester at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday from the South Campus tennis courts.
