The Shippensburg University volleyball team got back on the winning track Saturday afternoon from ESU's Mattioli Recreation Center with another sweep of a PSAC Eastern Division opponent, defeating East Stroudsburg in straight sets by scores of 25-20, 25-23 and 25-16.
Junior
Jill Edwards posted her 16th double-double of the season, leading the Raiders with 11 kills and 14 digs. Senior libero
Lauren Murphy also provided double-digit digs, totaling 11 in the match.
Freshman
Taylor Gottshall continued to menace conference opponents with her net presence in the middle of the floor, totaling two solo blocks and five block assists to go along with three kills and three digs. Senior setter
Andrea Heimsoth provided 26 assists, five digs and two solo blocks.
The Raiders had 12.5 blocks for the match, with senior
Jenny Pry adding two solos and one assist in addition to five kills.
Shippensburg (24-10, 12-5 PSAC East) wraps up its regular season next week with two more road PSAC East matches. SU will face Cheyney next Friday night before taking on West Chester at 1 p.m. Saturday.
