The Shippensburg University women's swimming team won three events and picked up eight PSAC cuts on Friday night from IUP's John A. Pidgeon Natatorium but dropped a dual meet to the host Crimson Hawks, 109-91.
Senior
Julia Brownrigg and freshman
Rikki Sargent each won events on Friday night, with Brownrigg taking the 200 freestyle in 1:59.14 and Sargent posting the fastest time in the 200 butterfly (2:16.57).
Junior
Julie Brown met the PSAC standard in the 50 and 100 freestyle, posting runner-up times of 24.66 and 54.33 seconds, respectively.

Colleen Stiles notched a PSAC cut in the 200 backstroke (2:16.02) while freshman
Carolyn Meier did so in the 200 freestyle (1:59.90).
The 400-yard freestyle relay impressed in its heat and picked up an event win, with Brownrigg, Brown, Meier and sophomore
Jen Flinchbaugh teaming up to finish in 3:39.23.
Shippensburg returns to action Saturday afternoon with a dual meet at Fairmont State.
