The Shippensburg University men's swimming team returned to the pool on Friday night and had eight performances that satisfied the PSAC qualifying standard but lost its dual meet to the host Crimson Hawks, 122-80, from IUP's John A. Pidgeon Natatorium.
Senior
Sean Minford won the 200-yard breaststroke with a 2:13.66 while also posting a second-place finish in the 200-yard IM with a 2:00.10.
Senior
Eddie LaNoue recorded three PSAC standards with second-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.14), 50-yard freestyle (22.42) and the 100-yard freestyle (49.91).
Three other Raiders also earned PSAC cuts: senior
Eric Naylor in the 200-yard freestyle with a 1:51.14 (second place), senior
Stew Conard in the 200-yard backstroke with a 2:04.95 (second place) and sophomore
Brennan Wolter in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a third-place time of 10:13.53.
Shippensburg returns to action Saturday afternoon with a dual meet at Fairmont State.
