SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's swimming team won four individual events and a relay on Tuesday night but came up short in a PSAC dual meet against Bloomsburg, falling 115-90 to the Huskies from Donald N. Miller Pool.
Shippensburg led for the majority of the dual meet but came up short in the closing stages of competition. The Raiders kicked things off with a victory in the 200 medley relay, as senior
Eric Naylor, senior
Sean Minford, freshman
Stefan Szilagyi and senior
Eddie LaNoue earned a victory in 1:39.02.
All four men also came away with individual victories as well. Naylor won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:49.80, LaNoue won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.03 seconds, Minford won the 200-yard individual medley in 1:59.38 and Szilagyi won the 100-yard butterfly in 54.96 seconds.
Other swimmers who performed admirably on Tuesday night were sophomore
Brennan Wolter and freshman
Jared Wasserman. Wolter earned a PSAC cut in the 1,000-yard freestyle [10:24.27] and Wasserman satisfied the conference standard in the 100-yard backstroke [56.40]
Shippensburg's next dual meet is Friday, November 2 at IUP.
