KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Shippensburg University volleyball team won the opening set of its PSAC Eastern Division road contest on Saturday at Keystone Hall but ultimately came up short against Kutztown, falling in four sets by scores of 25-18, 16-25, 22-25, and 21-25.
Shippensburg (3-11, 0-5 PSAC East) totaled 57 kills in Saturday's match – 14 more than Kutztown – but committed 35 attack errors in the contest. Sophomore
Jill Edwards led all players with 23 kills and hit .211 from the floor, while senior
Libby Woffindin was the team's most efficient hitter with 13 kills and a .267 percentage.
Junior
Jenny Pry joined Edwards with a double-double, totaling 10 kills. Junior
Erin Flick had seven kills and was one of three players with multiple service aces for Shippensburg.
The Raiders return to action at 7 p.m. Tuesday from Millersville.
