Box Score
MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's soccer team consistently out-chanced Millersville on Tuesday night from the Biemesderfer but ultimately had to settle for a 1-1 tie with the Marauders. It is SU's third tie in its last five matches.

Shippensburg (3-2-3, 1-1-2 PSAC) opened the scoring in the 64th minute when senior Brittany Hibshman contributed her team-leading fourth goal of the season off a nice through ball from junior Katie Leverentz.

Millersville (3-2-1, 1-2-1) tied the score in the 85th minute when Kelsey Mattola ripped a long volley into the net from more than 20 yards out. Mattola had entered the game as a substitute just 10 minutes earlier.

The Raiders had the majority of the scoring chances in the overtime – including six total shots – and nearly won the game in the 93rd minute but a shot by freshman Michal Sanders hit the post. Sanders fired three other shots on goal in the overtime periods but Marauder goalkeeper Ashley Matyasich set each of them aside.

Sophomore goalkeeper Shelbie Rackley made two saves in the contest.

Shippensburg returns to action at 5:30 p.m. Saturday from David See Field with a PSAC clash against Bloomsburg.
