EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's lacrosse team got hat tricks on Saturday from seniors
Katie Brewer and
Karen Schnurr but it was not enough as the Warriors of East Stroudsburg earned a 17-10 victory over the Raiders.
Shippensburg (6-6, 3-5 PSAC) had five different players score at least one goal and got a season-high 18 saves from junior
Meghan Kearney – who also picked up two groundballs.
East Stroudsburg (7-5, 5-3 PSAC) scored six goals in the final 10 minutes of the first half to change the game – turning a 4-3 contest into a 10-4 halftime lead for the Warriors. Michelle Mangiaruga paced the Warriors with five goals, four assists, two groundballs, two draw controls and two caused turnovers.
SU did not hold the advantage in draw controls on Saturday but freshman
Bennett Widlake led all players with six. Sophomore
Lindsey Kennedy had two draw controls; scored twice, and picked up three groundballs.

Lauren Hauck and freshman
Liz French also added tallies in the loss.
On Monday, Shippensburg will travel to Shepherd for a 4 p.m. match.
