Biography
2012 (Junior): Achieved All-PSAC Second Team honors and continued her role as one of the best players in the conference…finished up the season with team highs of 37 goals and 28 assists – the latter of which is one short of the single-season school record (29) set in 2004…led the team with 49 draw controls and tied for the team lead with 37 groundball pickups…an all-around performer…had nine hat tricks on the season, including four-goal efforts against Edinboro and Mercyhurst…registered a career-high five assists against Shepherd…managed a career-high seven points (four goals, three assists) against Mercyhurst…had at least one point in every game…started all 17 contests…managed goals in 14 of 17 games…collected multiple points in 15 of 17 games.
2011 (Sophomore): Led the team in assists and points in a stellar second season with the Raiders…named to the All-PSAC Third Team squad for her dynamic play as an attacker… scored 32 goals, which is the third-most on the squad…led the team with 16 assists, the most by a Raider since the 2004 season....ranked among the team’s leaders in numerous categories for the second consecutive year, including groundballs (3rd; 34), draw controls (2nd; 32) and caused turnovers (T-1st; 12)…proved to be one of the team’s most valuable players at both ends of the field…had at least one point in 15 of 16 games…notched goals in 14 of 16 games…tallied a career-high five goals in games at Limestone and West Virginia Wesleyan…finished with a career-high six points in games at West Virginia Wesleyan and Millersville…posted five hat tricks.
2010 (Freshman): Named to the All-PSAC Eastern Division Second Team squad for her consistently strong play on attack as a freshman…played a vital role for the Lady Raiders in her first year…started all 17 games…scored 14 goals, ranking sixth on the squad…handed out 10 assists, second-most on the team…converted one-third of her shots into goals…tallied once on a free-position attempt…picked up 38 groundballs, second-most on the squad…also ranked second with 34 draw controls…also served a key defensive threat, causing 11 turnovers…caged a season-high four goals in the season opener…produced multiple goals in three games…had at least one goal in nine contests.
Springfield High School: Rewarded with three varsity letters as a member of the Cougar lacrosse team…played for coaches Kathleen Geiger and Keith Broome while at Springfield.
Personal: Full name is Lindsey Marie Kennedy…is the daughter of Jim and Teresa Kennedy…majoring in elementary education with a focus on Pre-K through grade 4…has a sister, Courtney, who is a teammate.
