ERIE, Pa. – The Shippensburg University women's lacrosse team was tied with No. 10 Gannon after the first 20 minutes of Saturday's rainy contest, but the Raiders allowed six goals before halftime in a decisive run that jumpstarted the Golden Knights to a 21-8 victory.
Shippensburg (7-8, 3-7 PSAC) fell behind 4-0 but scored five of the game's next goals to knot the match at 5-5. Senior
Katie Brewer opened the scoring for the Raiders and was one of five unique goal scorers along with junior

Jessica Schubach.
Gannon (11-4-1, 7-3 PSAC) turned the tables with six goals in a 9-minute, 52-second span to hold a comfortable lead at halftime. Both teams scored a goal in the first five minutes of the second half before the Golden Knights exploded with a seven-goal run to take control.

Shippensburg's last game of the 2011 regular season will be Thursday at 4 p.m. from Millersville.
