MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Senior
Jaren Gembe scored a game-high 17 points to lead the Shippensburg men's basketball team to a 75-69 victory over Millerssville on Wednesday evening from Pucillo Gymnasium. SU finished divisional play with a 4-3 road record.
Shippensburg (9-16, 4-9 PSAC East) took a 4-3 lead just over 90 seconds into the contest and did not trail for the remainder of the game, leading by as many as 10 points in each half. SU shot 49 percent from the floor, 46 percent from three-point range and 77 percent (21-of-27) from the free-throw line en route to the victory.
The Raiders also did a fine job distributing the basketball and convering on high-percentage shots. SU dished out 18 assists compared to 13 turnovers and shot 61 percent from the floor in the second half.
Gembe had 13 of his 17 points in the first half and finished just three points short of his career high. He was 3-of-5 from three-point range and hit all six of his free-throw attempts.

Will Royal posted his sixth double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Junior
Jordan Stasyszyn scored 12 points and sophomore
John Corrigan added 10 off the bench.
Dane Lauber had an outstanding effort off the bench - scoring eight points, dishing out six assists and blocking two shots while stablizing the offense in his 21 minutes on the floor.
Shippensburg will conclude its season at 3 p.m. Saturday when it hosts East Stroudsburg from Heiges Field House. A senior ceremony will be held before the game.
