Box Score
WEST CHESTER, Pa. –
Junior Dane Lauber delivered 13 points, eight rebounds and three assists off the bench on Wednesday evening from Hollinger Field House but the Shippensburg men's basketball team could not complete a comeback from a 24-point second half deficit in dropping a 66-58 decision to West Chester.

Shippensburg (8-15, 3-8 PSAC East) continually chipped away at a large deficit in the second half and was within six points of the lead with 1:53 to play after the third three-pointer of the game by junior Craig Van Scyoc. However, the formerly cold-shooting Golden Rams finished the game with buckets on consecutive possessions and timely free throws to cement the victory.

Van Scyoc finished with 11 points while freshman Dylan Edgar had eight points, seven rebounds and four blocked shots. Senior Justin Minter contributed seven points off the bench and sophomore Wes Kirkland finished with six points.

Senior Jaren Gembe finished with five points and three rebounds. Gembe missed a free throw in the first half on Wednesday – which is significant because it concludes a school-record stretch of 37 consecutive made free throws that dated back to the game against Felician in December. The old mark was 27, set during the 1976-77 season by Randy Stetler.

Shippensburg continues its road trip on Saturday with a 3 p.m. contest at Mansfield.
