SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's basketball team was within nine points of No. 6 West Liberty at halftime of Sunday's final game of the 2011 Wolf's Bus Lines Classic before dropping a 101-72 decision to the Hilltoppers from Heiges Field House.

The Raiders (0-2) had five players post double figures, but the Hilltoppers also pulled off the same feat to win their 48 consecutive regular season contest.

After the game, senior Jordan Stasyszyn was honored with a spot on the All-Tournament Team. Stasyszyn finished the game with 10 points on 3-of-6 shooting. In SU's season-opening overtime loss to Charleston on Saturday night, he posted a career-high 23 points.

Sophomore Dylan Edgar nearly finished with a double-double on Sunday, tallying 12 points and nine rebounds. Senior Dane Lauber was valuable off the bench, leading the Raiders in scoring with 13 points on 4-of-5 shooting in addition to posting a team-high five assists.

Senior Craig Van Scyoc had his second consecutive double-figure game to start the season, finishing with 10 points and seven boards.

For the second game in a row, freshman Sam Pygatt contributed exciting buckets off the bench. Pygatt finished with 11 points, which included two head-turning dunks from his 6-2 frame – the latter of which came off an alley-oop from fellow freshman Reggie Charles on a fast break in the second half.

The Raiders return to action next weekend from Heiges Field House. SU will play California (Pa.) at 3 p.m. Saturday and Indiana (Pa.) at 3 p.m. Sunday.
