SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Shippensburg University men's swimming team had four different individuals win events on Friday afternoon from Donald N. Miller Pool as the Raiders closed out their home schedule on Senior Day with a 113.5 – 89.5 victory over Edinboro.
Shippensburg began the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay, as the quartet of sophomore
Sean Minford, senior
Derek Yeager, sophomore
Eric Naylor and senior
Tim Smullen touched the wall in 1:39.69.
Minford and Naylor both won two individual events – with Minford earning gold in the 200-yard IM (2:02.29) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.44) while Naylor was first in the 200-yard freestyle (1:46.54) and the 100-yard butterfly (52.80).
Smullen won the 100-yard freestyle in 49.07 seconds, and junior
Joe Keefe earned first place in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.22 seconds.
Friday's meet marked the first major competition with a full squad since finishing up the Zippy Invitational on December 5.
Shippensburg will swim at Drexel on Saturday, January 22.
