SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Less than 24 hours after an emotional victory over Lock Haven, the Shippensburg University women's volleyball team once again had a five-set match with a PSAC Eastern Division opponent but came up on the short end of its Saturday afternoon home decision to East Stroudsburg.
Shippensburg (6-9, 1-5 PSAC) won the even sets against the Warriors but dropped the opener of its tri-match by set scores of 25-19, 14-25, 25-18, 13-25, 15-11. The Lady Raiders rebounded with a four-set victory against Point Park, a competitive NAIA institution in Pittsburgh, by set scores of 20-25, 25-20, 25-22 and 25-23.
Junior
Libby Woffindin continues to perform at an unprecedented level of success. The third-year veteran of the middle block ripped 20 kills with just four errors against ESU and had 17 kills against Point Park. Through three games this weekend, Woffindin totaled 51 kills and hit .383. She also added a solo block and six block assists in both matches on Saturday.
Freshman
Jill Edwards contributed her sixth and seventh double-doubles of the season, compiling 18 kills and 12 digs against ESU before totaling 19 kills and 15 digs against Point Park. Sophomore
Jenny Pry notched her fifth double-double with 11 kills and 17 digs against the Warriors.

Tessa Bivens split the libero duties with sophomore
Lauren Murphy. Given an extended opportunity to compete, Bivens was SU's digs leader in both matches (18 vs. ESU, 17 vs. PP). Sophomore
Andrea Heimsoth had 36 assists against the Warriors and 28 against Point Park.
Shippensburg will host Fairmont State at 7 p.m. Wednesday from Heiges Field House.
