NEW ORLEANS - The Shippensburg University men's cross country team was recognized on Monday as a 2009 USTFCCCA Cross Country All-Academic Team, joining 10 other schools from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) while being one of 62 programs recognized in Division II.

Shippensburg compiled a team grade-point average of 3.01. Last week, Shippensburg had two athletes honored for their individual academic success: junior Bryan Beegle and sophomore Stephen Schelander. The PSAC led all conferences with 10 teams placed on the All-Academic roll.
